Due to the sample boiling, higher test temperatures could not be attained and therefore testing was terminated.

Interpretation of results:
other: Not classified based on EU CLP criteria
Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, no flash point could be determined until boiling temperature or 140ºC.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the flash point of the test substance, 'Cocodimonium hydroxypropyl hydrolysed wool' (active: 62.8%), using the SetaFlash cup method, according to ASTM D3828, in compliance with GLP. During the study, due to the sample boiling, higher test temperatures could not be attained and therefore testing was terminated. Under the study conditions, no flash point could be determined until boiling temperature or 140ºC (Chilworth, 2018).

Description of key information

Flash point of the read across substance was determined using the SetaFlash cup method, according to ASTM D3828 (Chilworth, 2018).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Value used for CSA: no flashing is expected before boiling or decomposition at <140ºC (based on the results of the read across study)
