Additional information

One study was performed on the similar substance 3 (1997, Huntsman), following OECD 203, for acute toxicity on fish. Up to a nominal concentration of 100 mg/l (actual 78 mg/l) no mortalities of fish was observed while no effects could be observed due to the strong coloration of the test medium.

Therefore, according to Directive 93/21 EEC ( adaption to Directive 67/548/EEC ), the ecotoxicological classification of the tested substance is 'not toxic' to zebra-fish after an exposure period of 96 hours.

Direct Black 80:1 could be considered not toxic to fish for Read across with similar substance 3 and according to the QSAR carried out with the  prediction tool.
