Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
biodegradation in soil: simulation testing
Data waiving:
exposure considerations
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because direct and indirect exposure of soil is unlikely
Justification for type of information:
JUSTIFICATION FOR DATA WAIVING
According to REACH Annex IX, Column 2, the exposure to soil during manufacturing of the product as well as during its use for the sealant production and use by the customer is unlikely.
Transformation products:
yes
Details on transformation products:
- Formation and decline of each transformation product during test:
The test substance rapidly degrades with a half-life time of <1 hour at 25 °C and form oligomers and polymers.
Oligomer and polymer molecules, due to their very big sizes and molecular weights are not capable to cross the biological membrane, so the uptake of the substance never occurs.

Description of key information
