Preliminary estimation

Mass of sample (mg)   Volume of water in which sample dissolves (mL)   Estimated solubility (g/L)
1000   10  >1000

Main test

Sample appeared fully miscible in water. Running a critical micelle concentration was attempted, however surface tension readings were very unstable, due to this a CMC was not obtainable. EPI Suite computer estimation needed:

WSKOW v1.42: 1.171E5 mg/L

Wat Sol (v1.01 est): 1.1589E5 mg/L

Conclusions:
Sample appeared fully miscible in water. Running a critical micelle concentration was attempted, however surface tension readings were very unstable, due to this a CMC was not obtainable. According to the EPI Suite computer estimation, the water solubility of the test item is as follows:
WSKOW v1.42: 1.171E5 mg/L
Wat Sol (v1.01 est): 1.1589E5 mg/L

Description of key information

Prediction software was used for the determination of the water solubility (K1, Dekra, 2014). Sample appeared fully miscible in water. The water solubility of the test item was determined to be > 1000 (g.L-1).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1 000 g/L
at the temperature of:
20 °C
