Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
-2 °C
Atm. press.:
1 005.4 hPa
Remarks on result:
other: 85% aqueous solution; Melting point similar to that of water.

Any other information on results incl. tables

During the cooling phase, at a temperature of approx. -15 °C an exothermic effect was observed, which can be assigned to the freezing of the test item.

During the heating phase an endothermic effect was observed in the temperature range of -5 to 15 °C, which can be assigned to the melting of the test item. As the onset temperatures in both tests deviate by less than 0.5 K from their mean value of -0.24 °C, the test item has a melting point of -0.2 °C.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The test item Phosphoric acid, C16-18-branched and linear alkyl esters, potassium salts has a melting point of -0.2 °C at atmospheric pressure (1005 hPa) as determined by differential scanning calorimetry according to Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Method A.1. and OECD Test Guideline 102 (1995).
