Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
relative density
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2017
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Justification for type of information:
Equipment employed for determination of density as outlined in OECD Guideline 109 include an oscillating densitometer. The density of 138492 was determined by PMC Test Code 10511, Density by ASTM D4052 on July 11, 2017.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: ASTM D4052
Version / remarks:
ASTM D4052
Deviations:
no
Principles of method if other than guideline:
None
GLP compliance:
no
Remarks:
GLP Study not necessary here
Other quality assurance:
ISO/IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories)
Type of method:
oscillating densitimeter
Specific details on test material used for the study:
TS 16015
Type:
relative density
Density:
ca. 0.828 g/cm³
Temp.:
20 °C

Approximately 0.7 ml of sample was injected with a syringe into a thermostatically controlled and electromagnetically excited oscillating U-shaped chamber of an Anton Paar DMA density meter. The oscillation frequency of the sample chamber is measured before and after sample injection and the change in oscillation, in conjunction with calibration data, are used to determine the density of the material. The density was directly displayed via a digital readout.

The density of 138492 at 20°C is 0.8267 g/mL. The relative density at 20°C is 0.8282 g/mL.

Conclusions:
The density of 138492 at 20°C is 0.8267 g/mL. The relative density at 20°C is 0.8282 g/mL.
Executive summary:

The density of 138492 at 20°C is 0.8267 g/mL. The relative density at 20°C is 0.8282 g/mL.
