Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media : Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment. Water, Dry powder, Foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Extinguishing media which shall not be used for safety reasons: High volume water jet

Specific hazards during fire fighting: Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions. Carbon monoxide Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear suitable protective equipment.

Further information: Fire residues and contaminated fire extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Do not allow

run-off from fire fighting to enter drains or water courses.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Avoid dust formation. Ensure adequate ventilation. Refer to protective measures listed in the handling storage and exposure

control sections presented below.

Environmental precautions : Do not let product enter drains.

Methods for cleaning up: Clean up promptly by sweeping or vacuum. Sweep up or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for disposal. Additional advice : Use mechanical handling equipment. Never return spills in original containers for re-use.

Handling and storage

Advice on safe handling: Protect from contamination.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion : Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Avoid dust formation.

Temperature class : no data available

Dust explosion class : no data available

Requirements for storage areas and containers : No special storage conditions required. Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated

place. Protect from contamination.

recommended when the dust concentration is more than 10 mg/m3.

Hand protection: Material: Chemical-resistant gloves

Breakthrough time is not determined for the product. Change gloves often! Please observe the instructions regarding permeability and breakthrough time which are provided by the supplier of the gloves. Also take into consideration the specific local conditions under which the product is used,

such as the danger of cuts, abrasion, and the contact time.

Eye protection: Safety glasses with side-shields

Skin and body protection: Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place. Safety

shoes

Hygiene measures: Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. General industrial hygiene practice. Remove and wash contaminated

clothing before re-use.

Stability and reactivity
