Additional information

Reliable (Klimisch 1) experimental aquatic toxicity data are available for the registered substance for aquatic invertebrates and algae. Results showed a 48 hour EL50 value based on mobility on Daphnia magna of 6.9 mg/L and a 72 hour EL50 value based on algal yield of Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata of 5.7 mg/L (95% CL: 4.6 - 7.0 mg/L).

 

A reliable (Klimisch 1) ready biodegradability study is available for the registered substance which resulted in 14% biodegradation after 28 days, therefore concluding that the substance is not readily biodegradable.

Conclusion on classification

Available experimental study data show aquatic toxicity EL50 values between 1 – 10 mg/L and that the registered substance is concluded to be not readily biodegradable and have an overall log Kow value of >6.5.

 

The registered substance is therefore classified as Aquatic Chronic 2 for the environment according to the Annex VI of the Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP).
