Key result
Water solubility:
< 1 mg/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Remarks:
as total dissolved carbon
Loading of aqueous phase:
0.1 g/L
Incubation duration:
>= 24 - <= 72 h
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
>= 6.8 - <= 7
Details on results:
As the test item is a complex mixture and insoluble in most organic solvents, the flask shaking test was performed.
On completion of the equilibration period, the samples were cloudy solutions with excess test item present at the bottom of the test vessels. The solutions were ccentrifuged and filtered providing a clear, colorless solution free from undissolved test item.
Conclusions:
The water solubility of the test item (as total dissolved carbon) has been determined to be in the range of <1E-3 g/L to 1.16 E-2 g/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. The water solubility of the test item was observed to be show a dependency on loading rate.

Description of key information

The water solubility of the test item (as total dissolved carbon) has been determined to be in the range of <1E-3 g/L to 1.16 E-2 g/L at 20.0 ± 0.5 °C. The water solubility of the test item was observed to be show a dependency on loading rate.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
