Description of key information
Hexa-1,5-diene is a liquid with a melting point of -140.7 °C, a boiling point of 59.4 °C and relative density of 0.691. The vapour pressure at 20 °C was calculated to be 23.5 kPa, the log Kow = 3.02 and the water solubility is reported to be 169 mg/L at 25 °C. Surface tension and granulometry tests are not applicable to this substance.
The autoignition temperature was measured to be 375 °C and the flash point was measured to be <-15 °C: as the boiling point is >35 °C, the substance is classified as a flammable 2 liquid under EU CLP regulation. This substance is not classified under any other physiochemical CLP endpoint.
