Administrative data
First-aid measures
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of fresh water, holding eyelids apart. Check for and remove any contact lenses, if possible to do so. Continue rings for at least 10 minutes. Get medical attention. Removal of any precipitated solids from the eye must only be attempted by a qualified medical person.
Inhalation
Remove the victim from exposure to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
If breathing is difficult give oxygen, if breathing stops or shows signs of failing give artificial respiration. Do not use mouth-to-mouth method. Seek medical attention immediately.
Skin contact
Immediately flush the affected area with soap and water using a brush to remove any precipitated solids. Seek medical attention if irritation or other symptoms occur.
Ingestion
Remove the victim from exposure to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
If the victim is conscious, wash out mouth with plenty of water and give small quantities of water to drink, do not induce vomiting. Seek medical attention.
If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately.
Protection of first-aiders
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training. It may be dangerous to the person providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. If it is suspected that fumes are still present, the rescuer should wear an appropriate mask or self-contained breathing apparatus. Wash contaminated clothing thoroughly with water before removing it, or wear gloves.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Use dry chemical, CO2, water spray (fog) or foam.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: None known.

Hazards from the substance: In a fire or if heated, a pressure increase will occur and the container may burst, with the risk of a subsequent explosion.

Accidental release measures
Ensure suitable personal protection (including respiratory protection) during removal of spillages. Avoid inhaling mists and vapours. Remove all sources of ignition.
Environmental precautions:
Eliminate sources of ignition. Evacuate the area. Provided it is safe to do so, isolate the source of the leak. Do not allow product to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.
Methods for cleaning up:
Contain spillages with sand, earth or any suitable adsorbent material. Transfer to a lidded container for disposal. Wash the spillage area with water.

Handling and storage
Protective measures: Do not breathe vapour. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Provide adequate ventilation. When using does not eat, drink or smoke. Weigh out/use in dry atmosphere. Wash hands and exposed skin after use.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities
Store in original container protected from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and well-ventilated area, away from incompatible material and food and drink. Store locked up. Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use. Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Do not store in unlabeled containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation or other engineering controls to keep worker exposure to airborne contaminants below any recommended or statutory limits.
Individual protection measures
Hygiene measures: Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products, before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working period. Appropriate techniques should be used to remove potentially contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothing before reusing. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
Eye/face protection: Safety eyewear (goggles or safety glasses with side shields) complying with an approved standard (EN 166).
Hand protection: Chemical-resistant, impervious gloves complying with an approved standard (EN 374) should be worn at all times when handling chemical products.
Other skin protection: Appropriate footwear and protective apron or clothing.
Respiratory protection: Use a properly fitted, air-purifying or air-fed respirator complying with an approved standard. Respirator selection must be based on known or anticipated exposure levels, the hazards of the product and the safe working limits of the selected respirator.
Environmental exposure controls: Emissions from ventilation or work process equipment should be checked to ensure they comply with the requirements of environmental protection legislation. In some cases, fume scrubbers, filters or engineering modifications to the process equipment will be necessary to reduce emissions to acceptable levels.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: The product is stable under normal conditions of storage and use.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous reactions will not occur.
Conditions to avoid: No specific conditions to be avoided.
Incompatible materials: Reactive or incompatible with the following materials: oxidizing materials and acids. Hydrolyzes rapidly in water to form triethanolamine and zirconium dioxide.
Hazardous decomposition products: When heated to decomposition hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide may be produced.
Disposal considerations
Disposal of product
The European Waste Catalogue (EWC) and European Waste List (EWL) is a harmonized list of wastes. Waste materials should be classified prior to final disposal with EWC-codes. Suitable disposal of waste products is by controlled incineration in a furnace, which should be carried out by authorized waste disposal contractors.
Uncleaned empty packaging
Contaminated packaging should be emptied before disposal. Waste drums should not be reused, cut or welded and should only be disposed of via authorized waste disposal contractors.
