Endpoint:
melting point/freezing point
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
other:
Justification for type of information:
As a preliminary test the sample was placed in a refrigerator whose cooling limit was -40°C. The substance only became unpourable but no solid formed after 3 days of starge under -40°C. The melting point was therefore below -40°C.

According to Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study is not required and no actual determination was made.
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: in- house test
GLP compliance:
no
Specific details on test material used for the study:
SOURCE OF TEST MATERIAL
- Supplier: Borica Co., Ltd.
- Lot number: 110422Y
- Expiration date of the lot/batch: 2017-Dec-12
- CAS number: 101033-44-7

Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
< -40 °C
Atm. press.:
ca. 1 atm
Conclusions:
Below -40°C.
Executive summary:

Sample was placed in a refrigerator whose cooling limit was -40°C. No solid formed after 3 days of storage under -40°C. The melting point was therefore below -40°C. According to Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, the study is not required and no actual determination was made.

Description of key information

Pouring point method.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Melting / freezing point at 101 325 Pa:
-40 °C

Additional information

In a preliminary test in which the test substance was placed under -40°C and no freezing was observed. The melting point was therefore below -40°C. This value was used for CSA.
