Description of key information

One ready biodegradability test is available, Carbon dioxide (CO2) evolution test (modified Sturm test) in compliance with the OECD guideline No. 301 B.

The relative biodegradation values calculated from the measurements performed during the test period revealed no biologically significant biodegradation of Test item (4% and 6%, based on ThCO2).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

One ready biodegradability test is available, Carbon dioxide (CO2) evolution test (modified Sturm test) in compliance with the OECD guideline No. 301 B.

The relative biodegradation values calculated from the measurements performed during the test period revealed no biologically significant biodegradation of Test item (4% and 6%, based on ThCO2). In the toxicity control, test item was found not to inhibit microbial activity.

Since all criteria for acceptability of the test were met, this study was considered to be valid.

In conclusion, test item was designated as not readily biodegradable.
