1,2-Ethanediamine, N-{3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl}-, N-{(ethenylphenyl)methyl}derivate, hydrochlorides (CAS 171869-89-9) hydrolysis rapidly to 1,2-Ethanediamine, N-{3-(trihydroxysilyl)propyl}-,N-{(ethenylphenyl)methyl}derivate, hydrochlorides and methanol (half-life < 16 min, based on read across from reaction mass containing six benzylated amine silanes). The silanol hydrolysis products (6 constituents) have a low to moderate potential for adsorption (log Koc between 0.465 and 3.116 at pH 7). If released to the environment most of the constituents will distribute in the water column. One of the constituents bears a higher log Koc value of 3.116 so that a moderate adsorption to organic sediment and soil particles is anticipated. Volatilisation is not expected based on the low vapour pressure of < 2.8E-04 Pa (QSAR).
