Description of key information
As the substance presently cannot considered to be readily biodegradable, the guidance warrants toxicity towards soil organisms to be excluded. The substance has potential to adsorb to sediment and soil (Log Kow >6.9), and therefore toxicity towards soil organisms is expected to be low based on the chemical composition of the substance and its low toxicity towards aquatic organisms. To exclude the occurrence of toxicity to soil organisms, a long-term toxicity towards 1 soil organism (earthworms) is proposed with Linseed oil polymerized. The result of this study is read across to this dossier. Pending the result of this test, the toxicity for other soil organisms is waived
