Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Not bioaccumulative. BCF in Cyprinus carpio: 0.1 mg/L a.i. dosage, 0.094 ± 0.0071; 1.0 mg/L a.i. dosage, 0.074 ± 0.012 (OECD 305).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

ADONA is a dissociable ionic substance. Only the anion was monitored during the BCF test, however the ammonium cation is a normal metabolic product and is subject to homeostatic control. Concentrations of ADONA anion did not increase in the study period. Therefore, BCF was calculated over the whole exposure period of 34 days and was < 0.1 for both dosage levels. The uptake of ADONA by Cyprinus carpio indicated no bioaccumulation, so a depuration phase was not needed and the study was terminated after 34 days of exposure.
