Description of first aid measures:
General advice: First aider needs to protect himself.
If inhaled: If breathed in, move person into fresh air. Call a physician if irritation develops
or persists. If unconscious place in recovery position and seek medical
advice.
In case of skin contact: Wash off with soap and water.
In case of eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15
minutes. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
If swallowed: Rinse mouth with water.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
In case of unconsciousness: give nothing by mouth, place in unconscious position
and seek medical advice.

Respiratory protection: Required when dusts are generated. Recommended Filter type: Half mask with a particle filter P2 (EN 143).
Hand protection: In heat treatment shops: Multi-layered, easily removable mittens with cuff. In storage areas: Impervious gloves

Reference substance: The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/689/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it. Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).
Eye protection: In heat treatment shops: Face shield made from self-extinguishing polycarbonate.
In storage areas: Safety glasses with side-shields
Skin and body protection: In heat treatment shops: Multi-layered protective clothing (no synthetic fibres): for example cotton fabric impregnated with Proban.
Note: Working clothes must not consist of textiles, which show a dangerous melting behaviour in case of fire.

General protective and hygiene measures:
Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in the application area. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Engineering measures: Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms.

Reactivity:
Thermal decomposition: Thermal decomposition starts at temperatures above 500 °C. Ammonia gas may be liberated at high temperatures. No decomposition if stored normally.

Chemical stability: Stable under recommended storage conditions.

Hazardous reactions: Dangerous reactions when mixing with nitrite-/nitrate-bearing salts or salt melts. (T > 100 °C)
