Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Conclusions:
The toxicity of 1-chloro-4- nitrobenzene to the aquatic invertebrate Daphnia magna was evaluated in a 48 h study performed in analogy with the OECD proposal (1979) short-term toxicity tests. The 48h-EC50 was determined to be of 2.7 mg/l for immobilization (Canton et al. 1985).
Executive summary:

The acute toxicity of 1-chloro-4- nitrobenzene to the aquatic invertebrate Daphnia magna was evaluated in a 48 h static test performed in analogy with the OECD proposal (1979) short-term toxicity tests. The 48h-EC50 was determined to be of 2.7 mg/L for immobilization. The results of the test can be considered reliable.
