Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising solids
Data waiving:
other justification
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
Justification for type of information:
The molecule contains chlorine, fluorine and oxygen atoms only bonded to carbon atoms. According to the Guidance on Information Requirements and Chemical Safety Assessment, Chapter R.7a, July 2017, section R.7.1.13.3, which refers to the section 2.14.4.1 of Annex I to the CLP-regulation, "an organic solid does not have to be assessed for oxidizing properties if the substance contains oxygen, fluorin or chlorine and these elements are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen."
As a result, and according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex VII, 7.13, column 2, testing for this endpoint is considered to be unnecessary based on the chemical structure.
