Conclusions:
The aquatic toxicity of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, lysate to the green algae Pseudokirchnerellia subcapitata was tested on an analog, which is similar to its soluble fraction.
No reduction of growth rate or inhibition of yield was recorded at the limit concentration of 100 mg/L nominal soluble fraction and 19 mg Carbon/L.
The EC50 for both growth rate reduction (ERC50: 0-72h) and the EC50 for yield inhibition (EYC50: 0-72h) was beyond the range tested, i.e. exceeded a TWA concentration of 19 mg C/l.
The NOEC for growth rate reduction and yield inhibition was superior or equal to the TWA concentration of 19 mg C/l.
Executive summary:

The aquatic toxicity of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, lysate to the green algae Pseudokirchnerellia subcapitata was determined according to the EU Method C.3, OCDE 201 and ISO 8692, and in compliance with the GLP. This test was performed on Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Extracts which is similar to the soluble fraction of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, lysate.

Indeed Saccharomyces cerevisaie, lysate consists of an insoluble fraction (cells walls) which cannot be tested, and of a soluble fraction which is similar to the substance Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Extracts. This similarity of composition was demonstrated by comparative analysis and by the production process. Therefore the algae toxicity test on Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Extracts was used to fill in this endpoint for Saccharomyces cerevisiae, lysate, since only the soluble fraction of Saccharomyces cerevisiae, lysate has to be tested in aquatic toxicity tests.
