Conclusion on classification

On the basis that no toxicity was seen in organisms in three trophic levels (no mortality in fish, no significant immobilisation in daphnia and no significant inhibition in algae) when the substance was tested above the limit of solubility the substance is not classified for acute toxicity or in Chronic toxicity categories 1 -3. A classification in Chronic Category 4 is applied on a precautionary basis as the substance is not readily biodegradable and some of the components of the substance will have a log Koc greater than 4.

Please refer to the document titled " Aquatic toxicity classification justification report for test substance LA-63P" attached within section 13.2 of this dossier for full justification regarding classification.
