Conclusions:
The DTPA-MnNa3 (MnDTPA) decomposes below melting and boiling point under atmospheric pressure of 999.7 hPa at 294.25 ± 0.76 °C (the average value). (Methods: EEC
A.1 and OECD No. 102; EEC A.2 and OECD No. 103).
Executive summary:

In accordance with the oOECD Guideline 102, determination of the melting point of DTPA-MnNa3(MnDTPA) was carried out.

The capillary tube in heated metal block method and BÜCHI Melting Point B-565 apparatus was used. For melting point determination a substance sample was finely ground, placed in a capillary tube and packed tightly. The measurements were performed in three parallel tubes. Observations of the tested material properties changes were recorded in the temperature range investigated.

The preliminary study and measurements were performed under atmospheric pressure of 999.7 hPa. The study was carried out in order to determine the melting temperature range for DTPA-MnNa3(MnDTPA) (50.0 – 400.0°C).

In final test the three series of boiling point measurements were performed in the temperature range 290.0 - 400.0 °C. The heating rate was 0.5°C/min. In all samples was observed   change the tint from beige to brown and characteristic smell indicating the thermal decomposition of the sample. The average value of initial  decomposition temperature for the three samples  of DTPA-MnNa3 (MnDTPA) is 294.25 ± 0.76 °C.

The DTPA-MnNa3(MnDTPA) decomposes below melting and boiling point under atmospheric pressure of 999.7 hPa at 294.25 ± 0.76 °C (the average value). (Methods: EEC A.1  and OECD No. 102; EEC A.2 and OECD No.103).
