Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Based on comparison to the screening criteria, DTPA-MnNa3 is not B or vB. Based on comparison to the criteria in Annex XIII, the substance is also not T. Available data from screening tests do not allow concluding that the assessed substance is not a P / vP. Based on expected similar behavior and fate compared to EDTA (read across) and the lack of biodegradability, DTPA-MnNa3 is slowly biodegradable in surface water under specific environmental conditions. In addition, due to high water solubility and low adsorption, DTPA will eventually leach to ground- and surface waters and not accumulate in soil. Due to pH fluctuations in surface water, moderate substitution rates and the combined photodegradation and biodegradation, all DTPA salts will eventually disappear from surface water.

DTPA-MnNa3 is not considered a PBT or vPvB substance.
