Additional information

The key study, Roulstone (2012), was performed in accordance with the standardised guideline OECD 209 and in line with GLP. The study was reported to a high standard, sufficient to assess the accuracy of the reported conclusions of the test. The study was therefore assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria as defined in Klimisch (1997) and considered suitable for assessment. Under the conditions of the test, the EC50 of the test substance was found to be greater than limit concentration of the test 1000 mg/L, the NOEC was determined to be 1000 mg/L.

Supporting information was available in the form of the IUCLID Data Set (2006) prepared for the Organotin Environmental Programme (ORTEP) Association Stabilizer Task Force. The information was only available as a short summary, the original study was assigned a reliability score of 4 by the authors of the report. Limited information was available in the summary and no assurances were made by the authors relating to the quality of the data, the study was therefore assigned a reliability score of 4 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality as defined in Klimisch (1997). No effect on growth was observed (growth inhibition < 10 %) in a culture of Pseudonomas putida exposed to a solution saturated with the test substance for 18 hours.
