Testing to determine the adsorption/desorption behaviour of the substance was considered technically not feasible due to its low solubility in water and appropriate organic solvents and the low sensitivity of the analytical methods that would be requried. Calculation of the adsorption coefficient is not appropriate for organotin substances, as there is currently no QSAR or QSPR validated for such an estimation. EPISuite v4.0 - KOCWIN version 2.00 estimated the Koc of dioctyloxostannane to be 1.554 x 10⁵ L/kg (Log Koc 5.1914) indicating a high potential to absorb to organic matter.
