Key value for chemical safety assessment

Biodegradation in water:
under test conditions no biodegradation observed

Additional information

The data requirement was addressed by the key study Hanstveit (2003). The study was performed to GLP and in line with the OECD guideline 301 -F and EU method C.4 -D. The study was assigned a reliability score of 1 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality by Klimisch (1997). The study was considered reliable and adequate for assessment of the test substance. Under the conditions of the test, approximately 2 % biodegradation of the test substance during 28 days of incubation occurred, it can be concluded from the results of this study that the test substance is not readily biodegradable.
