Description of key information

The vapour pressure of dibutyltin di(acetate) was determined in the following key study:
BNT Chemicals (2010) Vapour pressure of Dibutyltindiacetate. Testing laboratory: BNT Chemicals GmbH, Parsevalstraβe 29, 06749 Bitterfeld. Report No.: BNT 5112-46/1. Report date: 2010-06-18
The vapour pressure of dibutyltin di(acetate) was determined in an in-house study according to a current guideline EU Method A.4, using the dynamic method.
The following study was provided as supporting data to the key study:
Acros Organics (2007) Material Safety Data Sheet dibutylin diacetate pract. Bibliographic source: website https://fscimage.fishersci.com/msds/75959.htm. Owner company: Acros Organics N.V., One Reagent Lane, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410. Company study No.: ACC #75959. Report date: 2007-03-16.
The vapour pressure of Dibutyltindiacetate at 20°C was determined to be 2.4 x 10^-3 Torr = 0.32 Pa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
0.32 Pa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

A reliability rating of 2 was assigned to the key study, BNT Chemicals (2010), according to the criteria of Klimisch, 1997 as the study was conducted in-house to recognised guidelines, however only summary reports were provided with minimal information on methods and results. The vapour pressure of Dibutyltindiacetate at 20°C was determined to be 2.4 x 10^-3 Torr = 0.32 Pa

Supporting information was also available from an Acros Safety data sheet (2007). The result was reported as 1.3 mm Hg at 20 ºC.

A reliability rating of 4 was assigned as the safety data sheet is secondary source information.
