Description of key information
The 48-hour EC50 of PFBS to Daphnia magna was read across from a static test conducted with PFBSK+ according to EPA 850.1010 and OECD TG 202. The 48 -hour EC50 was determined as 1937 mg/kg.
The toxicity of PFBS to the green algae, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, was read across from its salt PFBSK+ which was assessed according to the OECD 201 method.
The 72-hour ErC50 of PFBS was 5023 mg a.i./L. The corresponding 72-hour ErC10 was 651 mg/L.
The results confirm that the substance does not need to classified as hazardous to the aquatic environment, PFBS is not "T" when assessed for PBT.
