First-aid measures

Inhalation: Take patient immediately to factory medical centre or call for an ambulance.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Rinse contaminated skin immediately with plenty of water and soap and seek medical advice.
Eye Contact: Immediately rinse eyes thoroughly with running water as long as possible (approx. 15 min).
Take injured quickly to factory medical center or call an ambulance (code word: eye accident).
Ingestion: If feeling sick, immediately call for a physician or take patient to factory medical centre (if necessary, call for an ambulance).
If swallowed, seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media: Water spray or fog, foam, dry chemical powder, CO2, dry sand.
Unsuitable Extinguishing Media: High volume water jet.
Protective equipment for firefighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and fire protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions Wear chemical resistant protective suite. Minimize number of personnel in risk area. Keep away unprotected persons. Wear chemical-proof clothes and masks while undressing contaminated persons or cleaning contaminated equipment. Environmental precautions: Firefighting water may not spill into open rivers and ponds. Collect spilled material by all available means. Do not release into the environment. Methods for cleaning: Moisten spilled material with water (in order to avoid dust formation), cover with wet sand or wetted binder, then take up. Wash away remains with plenty of water. Put into lead-sealable and labelled drums. Accidental Release Records must be kept of all incidents involving uncontrolled leakage or spillage of material, indicating in particular the amounts concerned, exposure of personnel and countermeasures taken. Buildings, apparatus, and all items of equipment must be decontaminated and subsequently inspected to ensure that no further risk remains. All equipment and protective garments must be either decontaminated or properly contained for disposal before leaving the area.

Handling and storage

During the entire technical process, the substance will be handled following the specific work place risk assessment, adequate technical engineering system will be implemented and proper PPE will be applied to the highly trained operators who are the only personnel involved in the entire technical process. Special procedures for cleaning and maintenance work will be established. In cases of accident and where waste is generated, procedural and/or control technologies are in place to minimize emissions and resulting exposure.
Storage condition: Keep container tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Avoid heat and sunlight.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal precautions Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Storage and Handling Precautions: Open handling without suitable personal protective equipment must be avoided. Keep container tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Ensure efficient ventilation when using this product
Preventive Precautions (fire/explosion):
Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Avoid formation of dust. Keep away from sources of ignition. Observe the usual precautionary measures required for chemicals with dust explosive properties (Observe national regulations).

Open Handling Respiration : Disposable fine dust protection mask (EN149) or reusable halfmask (EN140)
Filter : P3 (EN143)
Eye : Safety glasses (EN166)
Hand : Normal length chemical-mechanical resistant gloves (EN374/EN388)
Glove Material : Nitrile
Breakthrough time: 240 min
Thickness: 0.4 mm
Additional protection : working clothes (EN 340)

Stability and reactivity

Stable at normal conditions. Preventive Precautions: take precautionary measures against static discharges. Keep away from sources of ignition. Hazardous decomposition products: carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen chloride

Disposal considerations

Fill into suitable waste receptacles, seal and label them properly. Treat as hazardous waste. Incineration in an approved, controlled furnace with combustion gas scrubbing and emission gas control.
