Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Bathe and cool the containers exposed to fire. Bathe the

area with jets of water (better sprayed water), than after

cooling, foam, chemical powders and carbon dioxide may be

used.

Product arising from burning: Thermal decomposition( 135-140°C): water,CO2, methane,

ethane, acetone, tert-amylalcohol, butanone, 1,3-and

1,4-acetyl-hydroxyisopropylbenzene, 1,3-and

1,4-diacetylbenzene.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Dower the workers by means of protection and self-breathing

apparatus.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Absorbe the spilled substance over inert material as perlite

or vermiculite or sand. Dispose through combustion in a

protective place little by little, according to the local

laws. Avoid reserving in landfill. Big amounts must be mixed

with inert materials and burned, into incinerator with

post-combustion chamber and scrubber. Waste according to the

local laws. Avoid that the product enter into the drain

waters.

Handling and storage

Handling: Wear suitable protective clothing, protective goggles and

rubber gloves. Avoid any contacts with skin and eyes. Do not

smoke and avoid fire and high temperature. Use anti-sparking

tools. Provide for emergency showers and eye irrigation in

the working place.

Storage: Keep container tightly closed in a cool place (max. 30°C).

Keep away from reducing agents (e.g. cobalt accelerator).

Keep away from heat sources, fire and sparks. Do not smoke

and provide for suitable measures against electrostatics
