Description of key information

NOEC (19d) = 100 mg/kg soil dw. for seedling emergence and growth of Lepidum sativum, Brassica alba and Triticum aestivum

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

As no study on the toxicity to terrestrial plant is available for alcohol ethoxylate C16, <2.5EO (CAS 9004-95-9), a category read-across is prepared to an analog alcohol ethoxylate (C12-14, 2 EO, CAS 68439-50-9). The study was carried out as limit test in accordance to OECD guideline 208 and GLP (Sasol, 1994). No effects were observed for seedling emergence and growth of the three test species at the test item concentration of 100 mg/kg soil dw.
