The auto-ignition temperature of the test material was determined in accordance with the standardised guideline DIN 51794, using the Petrotest ZPA 3 with automated Test Programs.

The measurements were performed with heating from 25 up to a maximum of 650 °C. The range-finder program heated at 5 K/min to determine an approximate temperature in 20 K steps. Program A then determined the minimal auto-ignition temperature in 5 K steps followed by Program B which determined the minimal auto-ignition temperature in 2 K steps.

Under the conditions of this study the auto-ignition temperature of the test material has been determined to be 479 °C.
