Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Aquatic toxicity

Experimental aquatic toxicity studies of reliabilities 1 or 2 (Klimisch rating), based on international guidelines, are available on the registered substance for aquatic invertebrates and algae. According to these results, the aquatic invertebrates Daphnia magna was considered to the most sensitive species. The 48h-EC50 value based on mobility on D. magna was determined to be 1.8 mg/L (95% CL: 1.0 - 3.3 mg/L) and the 72h-ErC50 value based on growth rate on Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata was determined to be greater than the highest tested concentration, 2.67 mg/L. However, a 72h-ErC10 value based on growth rate on P. subcapitata was determined at 1.54 mg/L(95% CL: 1.02 - 2.28 mg/L).

Environmental fate and pathways

The registered substance is not considered readily biodegradable but there is unequivocal evidence of primary biodegradation within 60 days. Therefore, the registered substance is considered inherently biodegradable. In addition, the extensive bioaccumulation assessment of the registered substance confirms that the substance is not bioaccumulable in aquatic organisms.

Conclusion on classification

No harmonised classification is available.

1 mg/L < lowest EC50 value < 10 mg/L; EC10 value > 1 mg/L; not readily biodegradable with a log Kow > 4.0 and BCF > 500.

Classification according to the Annex VI of the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP): The registered substance is classified as Aquatic Chronic 2 for the environment.
