Acute aquatic toxicity data are available for fish, aquatic invertebrates and algae. The assessment of the acute toxicity to fish is based on the results of a range finding study performed in the framework of a bioaccumulation study following OECD 305. The determined LC50(96 h) was >5 mg/L. The acute toxicity to aquatic invertebrates was tested in a limit test according to OECD 202 and determined no adverse effects were observed at saturation. The reported EL50(48 h) was >10 mg/L. Comparable results were determined in a limit study following OECD 201. The ErL50 (72) was > 10 mg/L (NOErL(72 h) > 10 mg/L).

Based on the results of the toxicity control of the ready biodegradability study the substance is considered as not toxic to microorganisms and an inhibition of sewage sludge organisms is not expected.
