Description of key information

liquid (aqueous solution)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Physical state at 20°C and 1013 hPa:
liquid

Additional information

Reaction product of lauryl-PDA/lauryl-DETA with chloroacetic acid is solid at 20°C and 101.3 kPa. However, due to the substance being manufactured, marketed and handled only as aqueous solution (the commercial product is a clear aqueous liquid with an active content of approx. 27%), the physical state "liquid" was chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment to generate more realistic exposure levels within the exposure and risk assessment.
