First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air, seek medical attention. If breathing is
difficult give oxygen and seek medical attention. If
breathing has stoppped start basic life support and seek
immediate medical assistance
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush eyes continuously with water for at least 15 minutes.
Seek medical attention if discomfort persists.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and flush exposed area with
large amounts of soap and water. Seek medical attention if
skin reaction occurs which may be delayed.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: In the case of occupational ingestion, wash out with water
and give water to drink. Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, carbon dioxide, dry chemical powder or
appropriate foam.

Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn if involved in a
fire, evolving noxious fumes (e.g. carbon and nitrogen
oxides and hydrogen chloride)

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel form immediate vicinity.

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to
the relevant national or international standards.

Avoid dust formation by damping down with water. Absorb
spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material (e.g.
sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage to waste
containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine.

Containers filled with waste material must be labelled in
the same way as the original containers.

Clean the spillge area with water.

Dispose of waste material by incineration in accordance with
local regulations.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used in
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure,

Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the
subtance. When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately
controlled appropriate personal protective equipment should
be worn. When necessary appropriate respiratory protection
should be used. The standards mentioned should be regarded
as a minimum.

Storage: Store in closed containers in a cool, dry, well ventilated
place.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 25kg fibre kegs

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: None known

Chemical reaction with water: None which is hazardous

Dust explosion: Under normal conditions of use this material does not
present a significant explosion hazard. However, like most
organic compouds it is combustible and may form a dust
explosion if widely dispersed in air.

Dust explosion determined by test: N

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from minor spillages or accidental discharge is not
economically or technically feasible, and such waste
material will be disposed of by incineration. It may be
possible to recover larger spillages of uncontaminated
material for subsequent use.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable (material not classified)

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning
under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment
processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases
should be scrubbed because noxious fumes (eg carbon,
nitrogen, and sulphur oxides.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None
