Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Key result
Type:
relative density
Density:
0.958 other: unitless
Temp.:
20 °C
Conclusions:
The Density was determined in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 109 and EU method A.3 using an Oscillating densitometer (liquids). The study was performed without deviations on the registered substance itself. The test procedure is well documented and therefore reliability of Klimisch 1 has been assigned. Density was determined to be 0.958 at 20 °C.
Executive summary:

According to OECD Test Guideline 109 (2012) and Regulation EC No. 440/2008 Part A. Method A.3., the relative density D420of the test item Trimethyl orthoacetate (TMOA) at 20 °C ± 0.01 °C (compared to water at 4 °C) is D420= 0.958.

Description of key information

Relative Density (D420): 0.958 at 20 °C ± 0.01 °C (compared to water at 4 °C) (OECD TG 109: Density of Liquids and Solids and EU method A.3: Relative Density (liquids and solids))

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Relative density at 20C:
0.958
