Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
adsorption / desorption: screening
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because the substance has a low octanol water partition coefficient and the adsorption potential of this substance is related to this parameter
Justification for type of information:
In addition to the above, a study would not be technically feasible since due to the physico-chemical properties of the test item only a general photometric but no substance specific analytical method is available. Thus, a waiving according to REACH Regulation Annex XI, section 2 does also apply.

Description of key information

A low potential for adsorption is expected due to the negative low Pow of the test item.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A low potential for adsorption is expected due to the negative low Pow of the test item. Thus, an experimental study is not required. Moreover, such a study would not be technically feasible because only a general photometric but no substance specific analytical method is available for the test item.
