Description of key information

The study is technically not feasible as the substance is a UVCB substance with a complex composition and an unknown chemical structure for which only a general photometric but no substance specific analytical method is available. Experience in handling and use (the substance is marketed as an aqueous formulation) shows that the test item is stable in water.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to REACH Regulation Annex XI, section 2 a study does not need to be conducted because of the following reason:

- Due to the physico-chemical properties of the test item only a general photometric but no substance specific analytical method is available.

- The test item is a UVCB substance with a mean molecular weight of more than 1000 g/mol and no defined structure. Therefore an estimation based on QSAR calculation is not possible.

- Experience in handling and use (the substance is marketed as an aqueous formulation) shows that the test item is stable in water.

Aquatic tests gave no indications for degradation of the test item.
