First-aid measures

Description of first aid measures
First-aid measures general: Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell. If possible show this sheet, if not available show packaging or label.
First-aid measures after inhalation: Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell. If unconscious, place in the recovery position and seek medical advice.
First-aid measures after skin contact: Wash skin with plenty of water. Take off contaminated clothing. Get medical advice if skin irritation persists.
First-aid measures after eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Consult an eye specialist immediately.
First-aid measures after ingestion: Rinse mouth out with water. Drink plenty of water. Call a poison center or a doctor if you feel unwell. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed
Symptoms/effects after inhalation: May cause respiratory irritation.
Symptoms/effects after skin contact: Skin irritation.
Symptoms/effects after eye contact: Eye irritation.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed
Treat symptomatically. (decontamination, vital functions).

Protection during firefighting: Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment. Self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete protective clothing.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
General measures: Ensure adequate air ventilation. Wear breathing apparatus if exposed to vapours/dusts/aerosols.

For non-emergency personnel
Protective equipment: Wear personal protective equipment.
Emergency procedures: Ventilate spillage area. Avoid breathing dust, fume, gas, mist, vapours, spray. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

For emergency responders
Protective equipment: Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment.

Environmental precautions
Avoid release to the environment. Prevent liquid from entering sewers, watercourses, underground or low areas. Notify authorities if liquid enters sewers or public waters.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
Methods for cleaning up: Mechanically recover the product. Minimize generation of dust. Take up mechanically (sweeping, shovelling) and collect in suitable container for disposal. Disposal must be done according to official regulations.
Other information: Ensure adequate air ventilation. Dispose of materials or solid residues at an authorized site.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling
Additional hazards when processed: Dust may form flammable and explosive mixture with air.
Precautions for safe handling: Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. Avoid breathing dust, fume, gas, mist, vapours, spray. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear personal protective equipment. Keep away from sources of ignition - No smoking. Handling this product may result in electrostatic accumulation. Use proper grounding procedures.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Exposure controls
Appropriate engineering controls: Ensure good ventilation of the work station. Local exhaust is recommended where dust may occur.
Personal protective equipment: Safety glasses. Gloves.
Materials for protective clothing: Use protective clothing.
Hand protection: Chemically resistant protective gloves. EN 374. Gloves must be replaced after each use and whenever signs of wear or perforation appear. Choosing the proper glove is a decision that depends not only on the type of material, but also on other quality features, which differ for each manufacturer. Please follow the instructions related to the permeability and the penetration time provided by the manufacturer. Nitrile rubber. Butyl rubber. Fluoroelastomer (FKM). Chloroprene rubber.
Eye protection: Wear closed safety glasses
Skin and body protection: Wear suitable protective clothing.
Respiratory protection: In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Short term exposure. Breathing apparatus with filter. P1. Long term exposure. Wear a self contained breathing apparatus.
Environmental exposure controls: Avoid release to the environment. Avoid sub-soil penetration. Do not allow into drains or water courses.
Other information: Do not eat, drink or smoke during use. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash contaminated clothes. Do not breathe dust. Use only in well ventilated areas.
