The capacity factor was calculated from the retention time of each peak of test item. The partition coefficient of each peak of test item was then calculated using the regression equation of regression line and was given as the average value of two measured values. Because the retention time of peak 15,peak 16 and peak 17 was longer than that of DDT (log Pow = 6.5), whose retention time was the maximum, the log Pow were recalculated by extrapolation.

It is judged that all of the test results are valid because the difference between two measured values of each peak was within ±0.1. The log Pow of the test item ranged from 1.9-6.6. The majority of the test item had a log Pow equal to or below 4.5.

The partition coefficient (log Pow) of peaks 1 to 10 (total peak area 71%) is≤4.5

The partition coefficient (log Pow) of peaks 11 to 17 (total peak area 29%) is >4.5
