Conclusion on Persistance: vP (and P)

The ready biodegradability of the test substance was investigated according to the OECD 301 D. The test substance undergoes 30 % biodegradation after 28 days. Therefore, test substance is not regarded as readily biodegradable according to OECD criteria, but is considered to be inherently, primarily biodegradable in this test. Based on the available data, the substance is considered to be vP (and P).

Conclusion on Bioaccumulation: B but not vB based on: 2,000 < BCF <= 5,000 L/kg

The BCF of the substance was calculated to be 2846.0 L/kg, passing the threshold value of 2000 L/kg (worst case value of several QSAR predictions). Thus, the substance is considered to be bioaccumulative (B), but not very bioaccumulative (vB), since the estimated BCF is far below the corresponding threshold value of 5000 L/kg.

Conclusion on Toxicity: Not T

The criterion for toxicity is not fulfilled, since the EC10 for aquatic organisms is >= 0.01 mg/L72 h (ErC10 (growth rate algae) was 0.264 mg/L); and the substance is not classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction according to directive 67/548, or carcinogenic, germ cell mutagenic or toxic for reproduction according to Regulation EC No 1272/2008; and there is no evidence of chronic toxicity according to Directive 67/548/EEC, or specific target organ toxicity after repeated exposure according to Regulation 1272/2008.

Overall conclusion on PBT and vPvB

Based on the available information, the substance is not PBT / vPvB according to Regulation (EC) 1907/2006.
