Description of key information

SOLVENT N1 is a reaction mass of two main components and some impurities, all of them with similar molecular structures and functionalities. Basing on structure similarity, components and impurities of SOLVENT N1 are not expected to have significant difference in respect of physical and chemical properties and environmental fate.

 

As other fluorochemical compounds SOLVENT N1 is not expected to undergo significant biodegradation in any of the environmental compartments. No data are available on potential abiotic degradation mechanisms of SOLVENT N1 in the environment.

 

SOLVENT N1 is characterized by a high Henry Law’s constant of 20 x 10E4 Pa m3 /mol and a moderate water solubility (WS = 37.9 mg/L), indicating that the product would tend to volatilize from water reaching the atmospheric compartment.

 

Basing on the Log Kow = 3.9 and the calculated Log Koc = 3.05 a certain affinity for organic matter is expected, however basing on the Log Kow < 4 SOLVENT N1 is not predicted to raise concern in regard of its bioaccumulation potential in aquatic organisms.

Basing on the Log Koc value = 3.05, SOLVENT N1 is anticipated to be slightly mobile in soils.
