Working range: The calibration curve fits over the whole working range from 0.06 to 4.10 mg/L with r² = 0.9993. A linear fit was used.

Additional information

The water solubility of this substance was deduced from the measurement of a similar substance: 1,2,3-Propanetriol, homopolymer, diisooctadecanoate (CAS 63705-03-3). The water solubility for this substance was determined to be <0.15 mg/L at 20 °C (column elution method analysed by GC/MSD according to EU Method A.6).

This source substance is composed mainly by mono- and di-esters of isooctadecanoic acid with glycerol, diglycerol and triglycerol. The target substance is composed by esters of isooctadecanoic acid with diglycerol and triglycerol. Both grades of the target substance are mainly composed by tri- and tetra-ester. Based on the differences in compositions, a lower water solubility can be expected for the target substance compared to the source; the water solubility of source substance (<0.15 mg/L) can therefore be considered as a “worst case” approach.
