Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
surface tension
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2017
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 115 (Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions)
GLP compliance:
yes
Other quality assurance:
ISO/IEC 17025 (General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories)
Type of method:
ring method
Remarks:
Du Noüy ring method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Sample identification : 17.076961.0001
Batch Number:Lot 91602E004 20/06/17
Purity:70% w/w of CAS 7281-04-1 and 30% w/w of CAS 18773-88-1 (stated)
Storage:Store at RT

The sample is mixed and homogenized taking care to avoid the introduction of air bubbles. 1,0083g of test sample were accurately weighted and diluted to 100 mL in a volumetric flask with MilliQ water. The solution thus made is drawn using an appropriate pipette sampling it from the centre of the bulk of the solution and directly delivered to the glass cup and immediately analysed.
