Melting point / melting range: DSC measurement

DSC measurements with a heating rate of 10 K/min showed an endothermal effect (melting) in the temperature range of 125 – 170 °C. Above 180 °C exothermal decomposition followed. The onset temperature (seeTable1) was derived from the intersection of the tangent line with the highest slope of the endothermal peak with the baseline. Visual inspection of the crucibles after the experiment, which were stopped before the exothermal decomposition, showed a melt.

The results of the DSC measurements are summarized in Table 1.
