4.3 Indication of any immediate medical
attention and special treatment needed: No further relevant information available.

Fire-fighting measures

5.1 Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing agents: CO2, powder or water spray. Fight larger fires with water spray or alcohol resistant foam.
For safety reasons unsuitable extinguishing agents: No restriction in large fires.
5.2 Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: In case of fire, the following can be released:
Carbon monoxide (CO)
Hydrogen chloride (HCl)
5.3 Advice for firefighters
Protective equipment: Wear self-contained respiratory protective device.
Chemical resistant protective suit.
Under the protective suit a fire protective suit according to EN 469 should be applied.
Additional information:
Dispose of fire debris and contaminated fire fighting water in accordance with official regulations.
Collect contaminated fire fighting water separately. It must not enter the sewage system.

Accidental release measures

6.1 Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures
Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Do not breathe dust.
Wear protective clothing.
Access only for trained personnel with personal protective
equipment.
Use respiratory protective device against the effects of fumes/dust/aerosol.
Avoid spillage of product into the environment.
Avoid formation of dust.
6.2 Environmental precautions:
Inform respective authorities in case of seepage into water course or sewage system.
Keep contaminated washing water and dispose of appropriately.
6.3 Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Pick up mechanically. If formation of dust cannot be avoided use respiratory filter device.

Handling and storage

7.1 Precautions for safe handling: Empty containers must not be used for other products.
Contaminated protective equipment should be cleaned before taking it off.
Any unavoidable deposit of dust must be regularly removed.
Fill only in dedicated and assigned containers.
Keep containers tightly sealed.
7.2 Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Storage
Requirements to be met by storerooms
and receptacles: Store in a dry location, keep away from humidity.
Store in a cool location.
Corrosion of metals: No corroding action on metals.
Information about storage in one common storage facility: Store away from oxidizing agents.
7.3 Specific end use(s):
This product is exclusively dedicated for the application as on-site isolated intermediate under strictly controlled conditions according to
Article 17 of Regulation EC 1907/2006 (REACH-Regulation).

Exposure controls / personal protection

Additional information about design of technical facilities: Take care of sufficient ventilation. Avoid formation of dust.
Waste gases should be led into the atmosphere only via appropriate separators, scrubbers or incinerators.
8.2 Exposure controls:
Personal protective equipment
General protective and hygienic measures: Contaminated protective suit shall be cleaned before takeing it off.
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
Store protective clothing separately.
Respiratory protection: Particle filter. The filter grade (P1 - P3) has to be established depending on work-place related limit values and the actual exposition.
Protection of hands: Selection of the glove material on consideration of the penetration times, rates of diffusion and the degradation.
For the permanent contact gloves made of the following materials are suitable: The following materials are known from experience to be suitable for
protection against undissolved solids: rubber.
Check for tightness before use.
Replace damaged gloves.
Eye protection: Safety glasses
Body protection: Use protective suit with self-contained breathing apparatus in case of released material.
Limitation and supervision of exposure into the environment: Avoid spillage of product into the environment.
If possible use this material only in closed systems and devices. In case of open plant systems (sampling devices, filling and
discharging, cleansing works etc.) use local exhaust and collecting trays. Follow emission limit values. Measures in case of unwanted emissions should be established.
Risk management measures: General protective and hygienic measures have to be observed.
Handling and use of this material/formulation only under controlled conditions in closed systems.
Employees who use this material/formulation must be trained and demonstrably instructed about possible risks for man and environment.
Measures for prevention of hazards in case of unwanted leakage shall be implemented.

Stability and reactivity

10.1 Reactivity
10.2 Chemical stability
10.3 Thermal decomposition / conditions to be avoided: No decomposition if used according to specifications.
Sensitive to: Temperature: Protect from heat.
10.3 Possibility of hazardous reactions: The possibility of formation of explosive dust/air mixtures under
certain conditions should be principally considered during handling
and processing.
10.4 Conditions to avoid: Heating
10.5 Incompatible materials: Strong oxidizing agents.
10.6 Hazardous decomposition products: Hydrogen chloride (HCl)
Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide.

Disposal considerations

13.1 Waste treatment methods
Recommendation: Must not be disposed together with household garbage.
Do not allow product to reach sewage system.
Must be specially treated adhering to official regulations.
If possible recovery or recycling.
Uncleaned packaging
Recommendation: Empty contaminated packagings thoroughly. They may be recycled after thorough and proper cleaning.
Packagings that may not be cleansed are to be disposed of in the same manner as the product.
Appropriate disposal: Storage in a safe place after emtying.
Biological waste water treatment: Discharge into waste water channels and biological treatment plants only after clearence with the operating company and in accordance with local Authority approval.
