Additional information

Based on the physico-chemical properties of N-Acetyl-DL-tryptophan (CAS 87-32-1), such as high water solubility (0.88 g/L, 20 °C, OECD 105), very low vapour pressure (< 4.6E-10 hPa, 20 °C, OECD 104) and very low log Kow (< -1.7, pH 7, 23 °C, OECD 107), the substance is expected to preferentially distribute into the water compartment. The substance is characterized by high mobility based on its extremely low log Kow, indicating a very low potential for adsorption to organic particles in soil and sediment. However, due to its ready biodegradability, the substance will not persist in the water compartment.
