Conclusions:
Without vibration – levels of respirable dust for all materials analysed was less than 0.06%, with most samples being less than 0.02% for the 10.78 micron range, and less than 0.2% (typical values of less than 0.05%) for the 52.63 micron range. With vibration – vibration of the granular materials did not appear to make any difference

Description of key information

In a PSD study levels of respirable dust for samples analysed was less than 0.06%, with most samples being less than 0.02%  for the 10.78µm range and less than 0.2% (typical values of less than 0.05%) for the 52.63µm.  As part of the storage stability study the initial measurement of particle size  was determined to be 5.4% particles < 250 µm and 4.6 % particles < 125 µm.

Additional information

The particle size distribution of trichloroisocyanuric acid products was determined to define the levels of respirable dust present (Schwartz & Johnson 1995).

As part of a 36 month storage stability study with ACL 90 XG (trichloroisocyanuric acid) particle size was determined initially, and after storage at 25°C for period of 24 and 36 months (O'Connor & Mullee 2003).
