- Executive summary:
The purpose of this study was the determination of the auto-ignition temperature (liquids and gases) of Resorcinol Diacetate according European Commission Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008, A.15.
The main test (2 °C steps) is repeated at least two times to verify the result of the first main test (2 °C steps). At least three lowest results of the tests with 2 °C steps have to be within a range of 10 °C for auto-ignition temperatures below 300 °C and within a range of 20 °C for auto-ignitiontemperatures above 300 °C.
Due to safety reasons and according to the standard DIN 51794:2003-05 the lowest measured temperature at which an ignition is observed, is rounded to the next lower number divisible by 5.

Reference
Main test
The lowest auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 547 °C in the main test. Due to safety reasons and according to the guidelines the lowest measured temperature at which an ignition was observed was rounded to the next lower number divisible by 5, giving a value of 545 °C.
Preliminary test
The lowest auto-ignition temperature of the test item was determined to be 572 °C at a barometric pressure: 1012.6 hPa in the preliminary test.
